Makita-built brushless motor delivers 3,600 Max RPM and 1,590 in.lbs. of Max Torque. Rear handle positioned 4-speed power selection (0-1,100 / 0-2,100 / 0-3,200 / 0-3,600 RPM & 0-1,100 / 0-2,600 / 0-3,600 / 0-3,800 IPM) provides precise fastening control for a wide range of applications. L.E.D. light ring provides superior 360° illumination and helps eliminate shadows while illuminating a larger area. Additional one-touch 4-speed power selector button under the chuck adds convenience. Quick-Shift Mode uses the brushless motor's electronic controls to find the best balance of speed and torque for each application for more efficient fastening. Assist Mode (A-Mode) helps eliminate screw cam-out and cross threading by driving at low speed until tightening begins. Two Tightening Modes (T-Mode) allow faster tightening of self-drilling screws in thick or thin gauge metal while helping prevent damage to the screw or workpiece. Reverse rotation auto-stop mode stops rotation and impact when a fastener is loosened adequately. A dual ball bearing chuck reduces bit wobble and run out. Kit includes a 5.0Ah battery for extended runtime on demanding jobs.

Choosing Power Tools

Corded or cordless — how do I choose a power tool?

Cordless tools offer mobility and are best when you move between locations or work without nearby power. Corded tools deliver sustained power without battery swaps and suit fixed-bench or high-runtime work. If you go cordless, standardizing on one battery platform keeps batteries and chargers interchangeable across your tools.

What should I check before buying a cordless power tool?

Confirm the battery platform matches tools you already own, then consider the motor type, speed or torque range, and chuck or bit interface. Brushless motors generally run cooler and last longer under heavy use. A tool that shares batteries with your existing kit lowers the long-term cost of ownership.
